I learned to paint by the ocean when I was 7/8 years old. I was taught to focus on the ocean and its movements. Color mattered but not as much as capturing raw power. I love all the gold I added to Waves Of Wine And Gold and I love its strong and vibrant movements.

Some people have said the peaks look like mountains. In my mind, they were waves—peaking ocean waves with the horizon and clouds in the background.
